Saudi Arabia to Take Vietnamese Guest Workers

View of Mina, Saudi Arabia

As Saudi Arabia has a big demand for manpower in many sectors, especially construction and mechanical engineering, the Vietnamese government has licensed the Ministry of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs to send guest workers there.

Now the ministry is preparing to license nearly 50 labor exporters to sign contracts with Saudi Arabia, according to the Department for Administration of the Foreign Employed Labor Force.

Today there are seven million guest workers in Saudi Arabia. Their pay ranges from US$200 to US$300 for a blue-collar job and US$500 to US$600 for a skilled position.
