Southern largest hydropower plant to release water after heavy rainfalls

Tri An hydropower company yesterday announced to the Steering Committees for Natural Disaster Prevention, Search and Rescue in localities about its plan of water release after heavy rainfalls in recent days.

The company also issued warning for local people living along the downstream of Dong Nai River to actively carry out measures in order to minimize potential damages following a rise of water level in the forthcoming days.

It is expected that the water volume passing through the hydropower plant will reach from 1,500 meters cubic to 1,900 meters cubic in the next consecutive days.

In order to ensure safety of the plant and protect downstream areas of Dong Nai River, Tri An hydropower plant planned to release water at 9am tomorrow with the total discharge of water at 950 meters cubic.
