“Stop Using Rhino Horn” campaign launched in Vietnam

A campaign “Stop Using Rhino Horns” was launched in Hanoi on March 3 by the US’s WildAid, the African Wildlife Foundation (AWF) and the Vietnamese nongovernmental organization CHANGE.

The campaign aims to raise awareness of wildlife conservation and reduce use of rhino products. It is part of the international campaign “When Buying Stops, the Killing Can Too” started in Vietnam in March 2011.

Celebrities such as Prince Charles, Prince William, Leonardo DiCaprio, David Beckham, Jackie Chan and Ang Lee have participated in the campaign. It has been featured in international channels such as National Geographic, Discovery, CNN, Google, MTV and CCTV.

The event’s Vietnamese ambassadors are musician Quoc Trung, singer My Tam, Hero of the People's Armed Forces Pham Tuan, actress Hong Anh and MC Anh Tuan.
