Storm ‘Wutip’ leaves trail of destruction in Ha Tinh, Quang Binh

Ha Tinh and Quang Binh Provinces are just beginning to overcome from the heavy losses in the aftermath of Storm ‘Wutip’ which entered the mainland on evening of September 30.

In Ha Tinh Province, the storm caused serious damage in Ky Anh, Huong Son, Cam Xuyen, Loc Ha, Vu Quang and many other districts.

Eighteen people were injured, eight houses were destroyed, roof tops of 4,025 houses were blown off and thousands of trees were uprooted.

Deputy Prime Minister Hoang Trung Hai visited Quang Binh Province after the storm. According to him, this storm was stronger than Storm ‘Xangsane’ that occurred in Da Nang Province in 2006.

According to SGGP reporters, the Government and the people of the two provinces are trying hard to overcome the heavy losses in the aftermath of Storm ‘Wutip’.
