Strong winds hit sea area from Binh Thuan to Ca Mau provinces: Center

The rainfall measured at 69mm in Nam Dinh province, 72mm in Ha Nam and 74mm in Ninh Binh province.

The National Center for Hydro Meteorological Forecasting said heavy rains would continue hitting the northern and north central this afternoon and tonight.

The provinces in the Delta area and northern central region such as Son La, Hoa Binh, Quang Ninh, Hai Phong, Thanh Hoa, Nghe An will experience extreme prolonged rains.

The possibility of thunderstorms, strong winds will occur in the region.

Heavy rains are forecast to continue covering over the northern and north central region till August.

The center warned from July 27 to 31, the water level in rivers of Hong, Thai Binh and rivers in the provinces of Nghe An, Thanh Hoa is rising quickly.

Floods, landslides will be able hit the provinces of Lai Chau, Son La, Dien Bien, Hoa Binh, Lao Cai, Yen Bai, Ha Giang, Tuyen Quang, Lang Son, Cao Bang, Quang Ninh, Thanh Hoa and Nghe An therefore authorities need to update weather forecast to deal with the ongoing consequences.

Besides, due to the effect of tropical circulation accompanied by the southwest monsoon, tonight and tomorrow, the south part of the East Sea including Truong Sa Archipelago and the sea area from the central coastal provinces of Binh Thuan to south most Ca Mau province continue seeing the strong southwest monsoon of level 5, 6 with high waves at 3m and rough seas.
