Ten saved, six missing in Binh Thuan sunken fishing boat

Sixteen fishermen have gone missing after their boat was upturned by large waves off the central province of Binh Thuan at 4:30 p.m. on July 8.

While moving ashore, the boat was sunken at about 26 nautical miles south off Ke Ga Cap in Ham Thuan Nam District. At 8:45 am July 9, ten are saved and six remain missing.

The missing men come from Phan Thiet City.

By late afternoon on the same day, the province's border army force had sent a rescue vessel to the scene to seek for the missing fishermen.

It is very choppy in the waters off Binh Thuan. Wind speed is recorded at level 6 to blow 39-49 kilometers per hour.
