Transport Minister Nguyen Van The yesterday sent the letter to praise two women employees of the railway corporation who were brave to save an elderly woman from death.

Staffs Nguyen Thi Minh and Do Thi Lan were brave to risk their own life to save an old woman who intentionally tried to cross the line and falling down on the railway track while an oncoming train was just passing in the nick of time.
On behalf of the National Traffic Safety Committee and the Ministry of Transport, Minister The commended the two females’ bravery to curb the serious accident.
Moreover, the Minister expressed his expectation that every worker of the railway corporation will enhance their responsibility to keep traffic order.
On the occasion, the National Traffic Safety Committee proposed the Vietnam Railway Authority, Vietnam Railway and Saigon Railway Company to give the duo awards for their brave and good deed to popularize it in the sector.
Before, Chairman of Vietnam Railways Corporation Vu Anh Minh had sent a letter to praise the two brave female employees.
At 8 AM yesterday, while the two employees were lowering the barrier for the approaching Sai Gon- Hanoi train at the section Hang Dau railway line in the southern province of Dong Nai, an elderly woman intentionally tried to cross the line and felt down on the railway track.
The two workers risked their own life to save the elderly lady from death .
In his letter, Mr. Minh expressed his emotion toward the brave acts of the duo. He wrote; “ On the behalf of railway managers I thank all responsible employees who are devoted to the company, even risk their life for the railway’s safety and order as well as accident reduction. I specially commend Nguyen Thi Minh and Do Thi Lan who risked their own life to save the elderly woman from an oncoming train just in the nick of time.
