Tropical low-pressure system heading to Tonkin Gulf

This afternoon (July 10), a low-pressure zone formed in the north of Hoang Sa (Paracel) Archipelago and is moving slowly in the Tonkin Gulf, issued by the National Center for Hydro Meteorological Forecasting.

At 15pm July 10, the low-pressure system centered at offshore north of Hoang Sa Archipelago. In the next 24 hours, the low-pressure system may strengthen and move forwards in the West.

On July 12 to 13, the low-pressure system may develop into a tropical low-pressure system and heading in the Tonkin Gulf, said the center.

Due to affection of the low-pressure system, the sea from the coastal provinces of Binh Thuan to Ca Mau continue experiencing west south winds at level 6. It will also make the sea rough and create high wave of 2 to 4m in the Tonkin Gulf.
