Two dead in oil vessel fire

Two people were killed in a fire on oil vessels operating on a popular route along the Dong Nai River at 8.30 pm on May 4.

At a river section flowing through Hiep Hoa Commune in the southern province of Dong Nai, a barge carrying oil was burnt down  despite the efforts of tens of policemen from the Fire Fighting Department of Dong Nai Province who tried to douse the fire.

Another oil tank, Song Tien 26, was bursting into fire.  Fire fighters tried to manage the fire. Until 9.15 pm, the fire was put under the control. Two victims of the fire were detected on the board of the boat.

Police try to find the way into the boat’s cabinet to search for missing people.

Authorities are investigating a fire in Thanh Dat Paper Company in Phong Khe Industrial Parks in the northern province of Bac Ninh

On May 4, a fire broke out in Thanh Dat Paper Company destroyed all goods in its warehouse. Local firefighters worked for over an hour to put the flames under control.

Around 20 fire fighter trucks from Hanoi were deployed to Bac Ninh Province to participate in extinguishing the blaze.

Damages after the fire are not estimated yet.
