Two or three typhoons may occur in September ​

The National Center for Hydro Meteorological Forecasting said two or three typhoons and a tropical-low pressure system may occur on the East Sea; of these, a typhoon would be able to make landfall in the north central Vietnam, in September alone.

  

A cold wave in the north is forecast to gain strength and able to hit the north Vietnam in early September.

Rains on a large-scale will appear in the northern and north central region. The rainfall is expected to be higher than previous years and the possibility of flash floods, landslides would occur during the rainy season.

The west south monsoon is predicted to gain at average level therefore the central highlands and southern region will see average rainfall.

The center said the provinces and cities nationwide need to take necessary measures to deal with thunderstorms, whirlwinds and strong hailstorm..
