Vietnam Railway Company yesterday announced a discount of 10 percent for students who participate in the national university entrance examination.
For instance, if a student buys two tickets for himself and a relative who accompanies them, they will enjoy a discount of 10 percent.
Any students who passed the examination and must take a trip to universities of their choices also get special discounts. Students must produce their ID cards or student cards and exam application document or admission notices.
The policy of discount will be effective from now to October 31.
Vietnam Railway Company also announced the fare adjustment on summer vacation. In order to attract more passengers, the fare will decrease from 2 percent to 15 percent for the route Hanoi to Dong Le; from Nha Trang to Sai Gon and adverse on Thong Nhat SE1/2 and SE5/6.
Passengers can buy tickets from May 21 to September 5.
