USAID-funded disability healthcare project starts in Thua Thien - Hue

The US Agency for International Development (USAID) - funded project was initiated in the central province of Thua Thien-Hue to pay attention to better healthcare provision for people with disabilities during the 2018-2021 period.

The nearly 6 billion VND ($263,726) project lasting until August 30, 2021 will aim at improving the capacity of competent organizations and agencies in the locality so that they can offer better support to those in need.
Moreover, it will accelerate the implementation of policies to assist the local people with disabilities.
Over 860 people with disabilities and their families have taken part in courses on their legal rights and benefits, while over 2,480 others received free legal consultations for three years.
More than 34,600 people (including nearly 4,600 children) with disability are living in Thua Thien-Hue Province.
