Vice President Doan pays homage to Hung King

Vice President Nguyen Thi Doan visited the historical Hung King Temple in Phu Tho Province on April 6 to mark the death anniversary of the Hung Kings.

Vice President Doan praised the Phu Tho authorities’ for all the efforts they had laid in preparing for the death anniversary of the Hung Kings and for the Hung Temple Festival 2011.

Mrs. Doan burned incense at the Hung King Temple to commemorate the anniversary and pay homage to the Hung Kings.

On the same day, the last piece of a giant ceramic mosaic featuring images from Vietnam’s history and of Vietnamese life was installed at the Hung King Temple.

The 72 m long and 9.9 m high ceramic work was designed by artists Le Ngoc Han, Mai Van Ke and architect Ngo Thanh Tung. The ceramic artwork will be on display at the Hung King Temple as part of the Hung Kings’ death anniversary celebrations this month.
