Viet Nam Tops ASEAN Skills Competition

The Vietnamese team won the final medal tally with six gold, two silver and five bronze at the sixth ASEAN skills competition in Brunei from September 3-12.

The 24-strong contingent also scored six certificates attesting to their professionalism.

They defeated their regional rivals in computer graphics, applied electronics and woodwork.

At the reception for the winners, Deputy Minister of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs Huynh Thi Nhan said he greatly appreciated what the team had achieved in the competition, affirming that the prizes were “significant in the process of improving vocational training and developing qualified human resources in the world integration process.”

The sixth competition saw the attendance of skilled workers from nine ASEAN nations.
