Vietnam, Philippines navies meet on Song Tu Tay Island

An exchange between the naval forces of Vietnam and the Philippines was held on the Song Tu Tay (Southwest Cay) Island on June 8.

The meeting aims to strengthen cooperation between the two countries and share information relating to search and rescue work, maritime security, and natural disaster warning.

Representatives of the naval forces also took part in art performances and sports such as football, volleyball and tug of war.

The Philippines delegation visited the Emperor Tran Quoc Tuan statue, the meteorology station, the lighthouse and Song Tu Tay pagoda on the island.
