Vietnam, Poland boost all-round cooperation

Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People’s Committee Nguyen Thanh Phong received Polish Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Wojciech Gerwel yesterday evening.

At the meeting, Chairman Phong expressed his pleasure at multifaceted development between Vietnam and Poland in previous time, especially in the field of trade.

In 2017, the bilateral trade turnover between Vietnam and Poland hit US$ 2.3 billion. Of these, the bilateral trade turnover between Ho Chi Minh City and the partner reached US$ 170 million.

However, the two-way potentials have been not promoted properly. Vietnam and Poland in general and Ho Chi Minh City and Poland in particular could strengthen further multifaceted cooperation.

Chairman Phong believed that the Polish ambassador could push up the cooperation ties during his working term in Vietnam.

Mr. Wojciech Gerwel thanked the city leaders for the country’s supports to establish its trade office in Ho Chi Minh City.

Additionally, he affirmed strongly to make more efforts in order to strengthen cooperation relations between the countries in the upcoming time.
