Vietnam Red Cross links with ten organizations for humanitarian activities

Vietnam Red Cross on October 14 signed an agreement with ten domestic organizations and agencies to coordinate for implementing humanitarian activities for the period 2013 to 2018.

President Truong Tan Sang was present at the signing ceremony, and expressed his appreciation of the work and effort put in by the Vietnam Red Cross and all affiliate organizations and agencies.

The ten organizations and agencies coordinating with the Vietnam Red Cross include the Ministry of Public Security, Ministry of Labor, Invalids, and Social Affairs, Committee for Ethnic Minority Affairs, Vietnam Buddhist Shangha Central Committee, Vietnam News Agency, Nhan Dan Newspaper, Communist Party of Vietnam Online Newspaper, Vietnam Union of Friendship Organizations, Vietnam Cooperative Alliance, and the National Traffic Safety Committee.

President Sang requested government institutions to show more interest in leading, instructing, and encouraging humanitarian activities, and other ministries, departments, central and local agencies, domestic and foreign organizations, businesses, and individuals to continue to participate in humanitarian activities and give financial support for philanthropic programs of the Vietnam Red Cross.
