Vietnam - Russia Youth Forum 2019 opens in Hanoi

Vietnam - Russia Youth Forum 2019 was opened in capital city of Hanoi yesterday on the occasion of the 25th anniversary of the signing of the Treaty on Basic Principles of Vietnam - Russia Friendship.

The Russian delegation including 50 young people was led by Head of the Russian Federal Agency for Youth Affairs Alexander Bugayev.

The forum is considered as an opportunity for young delegates to raise awareness about traditional friendship relations and comprehensive strategic partnerships between the two countries. It also helps the youth of the two countries strengthen exchange, understanding and sharing experiences in carrying out youth movements, speed up cooperation programs, projects and initiatives between youth agencies of the two nations. 

On this event, the National Committee on Youth of Vietnam and the Russian Federal Agency for Youth Affairs signed a cooperation agreement on educating young people about Vietnam- Russia traditional friendship, exchanging high- ranking and youth delegations, young entrepreneurs and volunteers in the period of 2019-2022.

The forum is expected to last until July 29 with a range of target events and activities in Hanoi, Quang Ninh and Ho Chi Minh City before it will be held in Moscow and Saint-Petersburg, Russia from September 24 to October 1 respectively.
