Vietnam sends more than 32,000 workers abroad

The Overseas Labor Management Department under the Ministry of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs said that nearly 14,000 Vietnamese workers including 5,000 female employees were sent to work abroad in March, 2019.

Accordingly, Japan, Taiwan (China) and South Korea are the most attractive labor markets for Vietnamese workers with nearly 7,150 people, 5,800 workers and more than 450 employees respectively.

Thus, total Vietnamese employees working aboard are estimated at more than 32,000 people in the first three months of the year.

According to the statistic report, Japan received 19,000 Vietnamese people to become the most attractive market in the first three months of 2019.

This year, the Ministry of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs set a target to send 120,000 workers aboard to work, focusing on the high-income markets; strengthened and reorganized activities of migrant workers as well as ensured the recruitment plan for returned workers.
