Vietnam Women's Union marks Women's Day

Ho Chi Minh City Women's Union yesterday celebrated the 85th anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam Women's Union (October 20) and 5 years of the founding of the Vietnam Women's Day (October 20, 2010

City leaders attend the meeting to celebrate Vietnam Women Day -SGGP

President of the Vietnam Women's Union Nguyen Thi Thanh Hoa; Truong My Hoa former vice president; Nguyen Thanh Phong deputy secrectary of HCMC Party Committee, Nguyen Thi Quyet Tam chairwoman of People's Council, Vietnamese heroic mothers and outstanding women in the city attended the event.

Many recent years, the city women's union has maintained community activities and attracted over 7,000 members. They have mobilized over VND 10billion to help disadvantaged members and launched many activities at clubs, aiming to support the city's women in economic development.

the City's women joined in many social fields and 15 women chosen in the party's executive committee. 

Mr. Nguyen Thanh Phong on behalf of the city's government and party congratulated the Vietnam women's union on its success and believed that the union will continue developing in upcoming times.

On this occasion, the fund to support women in economic development received a third class labor medal conferred by the state president.
