Vietnamese leaders extend congratulations to China on National Day

On the occasion of the 70th anniversary of the founding of the People’s Republic of China (on October 1, 1949- 2019), General Secretary of the Communist Party and President of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam Nguyen Phu Trong, Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc and National Assembly Chairwoman Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan respectively cabled congratulatory messages to General Secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party and President of the People's Republic of China Xi Jinping, Premier of the State Council of China Li Keqiang, Chairman of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress Li Zhanshu. 

In the congratulation messages, the Vietnamese senior leaders congratulated the great achievements of China in the past 70 years, especially accomplishment in the reform and opening up over the past 40 years. 

They wished the Chinese people to continue to achieve more and more great achievements in the process of reform and open-door policy, early building the country as a modern, rich, democratic, civilized, harmonious and beautiful socialist country which practically contributed to the peace, stability and prosperity of the region and the world.

Besides that, the Vietnamese Party and State leaders informed that Vietnam would like to cooperate with the partner in deepening the traditional relations of friendship and cooperation on the basic of mutual benefits, international law in order to bring positive contributions for peace, stability and common prosperity of the region and the world towards the 70th anniversary of establishment of the diplomatic relations between Vietnam and China in 2020. 

On this occasion, Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Chairman of the Vietnam - China Bilateral Cooperation Steering Committee Pham Binh Minh sent a congratulatory message to Chinese State Councilor, Foreign Minister Wang Yi.
