Vietnamese PM visits former Laotian leaders

Vietnamese Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc, his wife and a high-ranking delegation yesterday laid a wreath at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier, visited former Laotian leaders.

Within a framework of a visit to the Lao People's Democratic Republic, the high-ranking delegation met with enterprises who are members of the Vietnam Investors Association in Laos.
 
At a meeting with former Secretary General of the Lao People's Revolutionary Party and President of Laos Khamtay Siphandone and former Lao Prime Minister Sisavath Keobounphanh, PM Phuc appreciated great contributions of the leaders to Laos’s revolutionary career and Vietnam- Laos special relationship.

He sent greetings from Secretary General of the Communist Party of Vietnam Nguyen Phu Trong and the Vietnamese high- level leaders to the former Laotian president.
 
During the visit to former Laotian Prime Minister Mr. Thongsing Thammavong, PM Phuc prized his great contributions for the countries’ comprehensive cooperative relations, particular in successful implementation of the bilateral cooperative agreement in the 2011- 2015 term; and he also wished the leader will continue share his ideals and experiences in strengthening the special relationship.
 
On the same day, PM Nguyen Xuan Phuc had a meeting with enterprises of Vietnam Investors Association in Laos.
 
Both two sides agreed to strengthen comprehensive cooperation relationship as well as sign bilateral cooperation agreements and instruments to actively promote investment activities of Vietnamese enterprises in Laos.
 
PM Phuc also appreciated efforts of enterprises and Vietnam Investors Association in the neighboring country who have overcome difficulties to get investment and business achievements in previous years.
 
Besides that, he strongly affirmed that Vietnam always create the best favorable conditions for foreign investors, including Lao firms; and desired the enterprises continue focusing on human resource development, ensuring process and quality of investment projects licensed by the two sides.
 
As soon as ending the official visits to Cambodia and Laos, the Vietnamese Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc, his wife and the high- ranking delegation arrived in Philippines’s Manila capital this morning to attend in the 30th ASEAN summit and relevant meetings from April 28- 29 and visit Phillipines at an invitation of President of the Republic of Philippines Rodrigo Roa Duterte.
