Vietnamese Students Win International Environmental Award

The Vietnamese students have won the "Education Initiative in Caring for the Environment" award in their first participation in the fifth "Search for SEAMEO Young Scientists" (SSYS 5) congress, held from March 6 to 9 in Malaysia.

The high school students, Nguyen Kim Hoa and Le Hai Yen (Ha Noi) presented at the congress their project titled "Organizational Arrangement for Forest Preservation and Development Clubs at High Schools in Viet Nam", which was highly praised for its creativity and feasibility.

Under the theme "Toward Sustainable Development for a Better World ", the congress was organized by the Southeast Asian Ministers of Education Organization (SEAMEO), aiming at encouraging young people to apply scientific achievements to their lives and raising their awareness of the relationship between science, technology, the environment and society.
