Vietnamese workers head for Portugal for first time

Labor company Suleco yesterday said it plans to send 34 welders to work in Portugal on Dec 20.

The workers, who have been trained in English and welding for four months, will be paid wages of US$1,500 a month.

Suleco plans to send 200 people in all to Portugal.

It is the first time that Vietnamese guest workers have been signed up by Portugal.
