Vietnam’s trade deficit in 9 months reached to $8.6 billion, accounting for 16.7 percent of the country’s total export revenue. The national trade deficit in 9 months is 19.8 percent higher than the same period last year.
However, the national trade deficit in 9 months is $11.4 billion excluding gold and golden product export. It increased by 15.7 percent against the same period last year and 23.3 percent of the export revenue.
According to the General Statistics Office, the country’s trade gap in September reached over $ 1 billion. It is estimated that trade deficit in 2010 would jump around $13 billion, accounting for 19 percent of export revenue.
