Villa Louis resort owner apologizes for issuing maps with wrongful content

Michel Scharwizel, a French national and director of the Villa Louise Beach & Spa Resort in Phu Vang District in the central province of Thua Thien-Hue August 5 extended his apology in a press brief because the resort has issued around 500 maps with incorrect content.

The foreign director apologized to the Vietnamese people, adding that he has lived in the Southeast Asian country for 9 years expressing his love to Vietnam. He asserted that the incident was just an honest mistake and his Vietnamese assistant who had been fired.

Accordingly, the resort has issued 500 maps that referred to the East Vietnam Sea as “China Sea.”

Scharwizel said that he has asked his employees take back nearly 300 remaining publications and hand them to the Economic Security Division under Thua Thien-Hue Province police.

Before on August 3, the Economic Security Division under Thua Thien-Hue Province police had collected hundreds of maps with wrong content.
