Vinh Long marks 92 birth anniversary of late PM Vo Van Kiet

The 74 anniversary of Nam Ky Uprising and the 92 birth anniversary of late Prime Minister Vo Van Kiet were celebrated solemnly at Vung Liem district of Vinh Long province on November 21, aims to commemorate the late Prime Minister and martyrs.

At the ceremony, delegates reviewed the national revolutionary struggle tradition and raised great contributions of late PM Vo Van Kiet during his revolutionary struggle career and the country’s development.

Earlier, leaders and delegates offered incenses at Vo Van Kiet Memorial Site in order to express their deep gratitude to the late Prime Minister’s great achievements. On this occasion, the management board of Vo Van Kiet Memorial Site was offered Prime Minister Vo Van Kiet rice portrait by young artist Dang Thi Thuy Dung.

The late Prime Minister Vo Van Kiet was known as Sau Dan, who was loved by many Vietnamese people for his services to the country such as digging a long irrigation system in the Mekong Delta, bringing the country's 500KV North-South transmission line and implementing the Thang Long-Noi Bai Express Way linking Hanoi to Noi Bai International Airport projects.
