Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung advised northern midland Vinh Phuc province to make the most of hill land for industrial zones to soon become an industrialized locality.
During his working visit to Vinh Phuc on August 29, PM Dung also suggested the midland province develop organic farming and animal husbandry to supply for the capital city of Hanoi and promote services, focusing on tourism to fully tap its natural advantages.
He lauded provincial authorities for seriously implementing the government’s solution packages to rein in inflation and stabilise economy, noting that Vinh Phuc has halted implementation of 52 projects, cutting public investment by a total 354.4 billion VND.
Vinh Phuc registered an annual average economic growth rate of 15 percent over the past decade, and its per capital income ranked seventh in the country.
However, the rate of poor households in Vinh Phuc remains higher at over 10 percent
