Speaking at the ceremony, the Vietnamese leader stressed that a cross border road transport route would contribute cutting transportation costs; shortening the travelling time and creating favorable condition for cargo transit and developing socio- economy between the two countries.
The border route will also open many cooperation chances in the fields of economy, trade and investment, cultural exchange, sport and tourism between the two countries in general and between Gia Lai and Ratanakiri provinces, between the Central Highlands provinces of Vietnam and the northeastern provinces of Cambodia in particular after it is put into service, said Mr. Trinh Dinh Dung.
After the inauguratation ceremony, vehicles were allowed to travel through the major routes connecting Vietnam and Cambodia.
The opening is considered as a foundation for tightening further good relationship between the two nations
