At the meeting with the Haitian parliamentary leader, the Vietnamese Communist Party Chief believed that the visit would strengthen further the friendly cooperative relations between the countries’ State, National Assembly and people.
Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong strongly affirmed that Vietnam always respects development as well as expansion of multifaceted friendly and cooperative ties with Haiti and suggested the two sides to continue strengthening mutual cooperation in the fields of agriculture, telecommunication and industrial production.
On the same day, Vietnamese President Tran Dai Quang received the Haitian parliamentary leader at Presidential Palace.
The Vietnamese leader re-affirmed that the country respects and desires expansion an enhancement of friendly and multifaceted cooperation relations with Latin American countries and Caribbean including Haiti.
He appreciated active development of bilateral ties in the fields of politics, economy and investment in the recent years; in particular, investment of Vietnamese telecommunication group Viettel in Haiti.
Besides that, both countries need to enhance further mutual cooperation and support at regional & international organizations and multilateral forums, especially at the United Nations, the World Trade Organization and the Non-Aligned Movement.
At the Governmental Office, Vietnamese Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc yesterday met Haitian parliamentary chairman Youri Latortue.
The Vietnamese PM expressed his pleasure at Vietnam- Haiti friendly relations in recent time and affirmed that the country would enhance bilateral cooperative ties with Haiti in the fields of telecommunication, agriculture, construction, tourism infrastructure, energy, electrical equipment, building materials and consumer goods.
