Waste water treatment system operates in Dong Hoi City

Leaders of the central province of Quang Binh and the World Bank inaugurated a newly constructed drainage and waste water treatment system in Dong Hoi City on July 20.

The drainage and waste water treatment system is part of its Environmental Sanitation Project (DAVSMT), funded by World bank. It costs totally US$78.5 million among those are US$59 million from the WB’s preferential loans, US$1.3 million from non-refundable aid and the remaining from the local budget. 

The project focuses on the waste treatment plant Duc Ninh in Le Ky River with the environmentally-friendly waste treatment technology. The plant is designed to treat 10,000 cubic meters of waste water per day discharged from 78,000 residents in the city.
