33 dead & missing reported after flashflood

The National Steering Committee for Natural Disaster Prevention reported that the northern mountainous provinces as Yen Bai, Son La, Dien Bien, Lai Chau, Bac Can and Cao Bang suffered serious damages after the torrential rain, landslide and flashflood had suddenly occurred in the localities yesterday. 
Statistics showed that at least 33 people, 89 livestock and 835 poultry died due to torrential rain, flashflood and landslide.

Additionally, 196 houses and 131 hectares of rice crops were completely destroyed. 

The total value of damage was estimated at VND 538.2 billion.
