The hailstorm followed torrential rains, but this time the hailstones were small enough not to leave much destruction behind.

On the same day, heavy rains accompanied with a mild hailstorm also fell in Son La City and some neighboring areas.

In related news, local authorities in Ia Pet Commune of Dak Doa District in the central highland province of Gia Lai helped residents to repair damages caused in the aftermath of heavy rains and strong winds that lashed the area on March 31.

Thirteen houses collapsed, 19 others lost their rooftops and electric poles were damaged during the heavy rainfall.
