Bad weather may hit northern region

Because of the influence of the ongoing cold front accompanied with west wind with over 5000 meters above sea level, the complicated weather with thunderstorm, cyclones, hail and strong winds likely may occur in the northern region, warned the National Hydrology Meteorology Forecast Center.

The central highlands and southern regions will suffer a spate of thunderstorms and rains in evening so everyone also needs to look out of cyclone, hail and wind speed in the thunderstorm.

Currently, the cold front is moving from the northern to the southern region. In the evening yesterday, the cold air swept through the mid and mountain northern provinces, and after that it is predicted to hit the north central provinces.

Because of the influence of the ongoing cold air, the northern region and Thanh Hoa will have heavy rains and thunderstorms with level 2- 3 wind speed in mainland and level 3- 4 in the coastal region.

Meanwhile, the Gulf of Tonkin will see strong wind speed of level 6- 8, 2- 3 meter big waves and sea rough.
