Bitter cold visits Nothern Vietnam

A strong cold front has caused bitter cold over wide area in the northern and north central region of Vietnam with temperatures falling to 0.6 degree Celsius at 1 a.m. this morning, reported National Hydro Meteorological Forecasting Center.
Specifically, temperatures measured 0.6 degree in Mau Son, Lang Son; 3.5 degrees in Sa Pa, Lao Cai; 4.1 degrees in Tam Dao, Vinh Phuc; 3.5 degrees in Trung Khanh, Cao Bang and 10 degrees in Hanoi.
The center forecast that the cold front will continue making it very cold over wide area in the northern and central regions with common temperatures swinging from 8-11 degrees. Mountainous areas will see it fall to 3-7 degrees.
The cold wave is predicted to last until January 4, 2019 and likely to cause ice and frost.
