Central coastal provinces actively deal with typhoon Haikui

Tropical storm Haikui is warned to continue moving the west- northwestward at a speed of 20 kilometers an hour, and is expected to operate stronger within next 24 hours, reported the National Hydrology Meteorology Forecast Center. 

Amid to the ongoing weather condition, the National Steering Committee on Natural Disaster Prevention, Recues and Search yesterday sent an urgent message to the steering committees on natural disaster prevention, recue and search of the central coastal provinces from Thanh Hoa to Khanh Hoa, Ministries of Defense, Transport, Foreign Affairs, Natural Resources and Environment, Industry and Trade, Agriculture and Rural Development, Vietnam News Agency, Vietnam Television, Voice of Vietnam and  the coastal information systems. 

Pursuant to the urgent message, the National Steering Committee on Natural Disaster Prevention, Recues and Search asked the relevant ministries and agencies to constantly update as well as provide information to the ship owners, captains and vessels in sea to orient position of the 13th typhoon in order to avoid and run out of the dangerous areas. 

In addition, the central coastal localities need to closely eye position of typhoon Haikui via communication ways, accounting and controlling vessels going out to sea, keeping in touch with the fishing boats near the dangerous areas ...

The dangerous position will be paralleled at 12.0- 17.0 degrees north latitude and 113.5 degrees east longitude in next 24 hours.

In the mainland, the affected localities should carry out measures dealing with the storm, rain, flashflood, landslide, flooding; ensure safety of dyke systems, reservoir and dam constructions, lowlands. 

Vietnam News Agency, Vietnam Television, Voice of Vietnam, the coastal information systems and press agencies must increase duration for issuing weather news about typhoon Haikui.

The National Hydrology Meteorology Forecast Center said that Haikui was located at around 800 kilometers of the southeastward of the Paracel Islands with its powerful wind of 60-75 kilometers an hour at 10am today. 

It is warned to be at around 410 kilometers of the east- northeastward of the Paracel Islands with the maximum wind near the center of up to 75-90 kilometers an hour in next 24 hours. 

Because of its circulation, the northern and mid- East Sea have experienced showery weather, thunderstorm, wind of level 6-12 and sea rough. 

Within next 24- 72 hours, the storm will move the westward at 5- 10 kilometers an hour. By 10am tomorrow, it will be centered at the northern area of the Paracel Islands with wind of up to level 9- 13.
