Chilling temperature in north drops below 12 degrees Celsius

According to the National Hydrology Meteorology Forecast Center, wave of cold air in combination with trough of west wind are forecast to create medium- heavy downpours in the northeastern provinces with an average rainfall of 5-15 mm, even over 25 mm on January 10.

Because of its impact, the lowest temperature in capital city of Hanoi could maintain 13- 15 degrees Celsius, under 12 degrees Celsius in the northern mountainous areas. 

The weather condition in the northern region is warned to experience showers, deep cloud, high humidity of 70-100 percent, gusty wind of level 2-3 and chilling temperature of 12-18 degrees Celsius. 

The same weather situation is predicted to hit the north- central provinces from Thanh Hoa to Thua Thien Hue. The minimum temperature in the area could drop down 16-19 degrees Celsius. 

The south- central provinces and cities from Da Nang to Binh Thuan, the highlands central region have seen showers and thunderstorms on the large scale, minimum temperature of 17-25 degrees Celsius.

Meanwhile, the southern region including Ho Chi Minh City has enjoyed beautiful sunny weather at daytime, small rainfall and thunderstorm in evenings, the maximum temperature of 31- 34 degrees Celsius and the minimum temperature of 22-25 degrees Celsius.
