Cold & frosts appear in north

The latest weather news from the National Hydrology Meteorology Forecast Center yesterday said that a mass of cold nothern air has powerfully operated and strengthened in the northern and central region of Vietnam.

Yesterday, temperature in the northern mountainous provinces decreased sharply; and temperature in Hanoi capital was measured at 16 degrees Celsius.
Amid to the weather condition, the northern region is warned to experience rainy and cold weather in the coming two days. 

Vice Director of the National Hydrology Meteorology Forecast Center Le Thanh Hai said that the country’s high mountainous areas of Mau Son (Lang Son) have suffered the lowest temperature of 5.6- 6 degrees Celsius in recent days. 

Presently, the cold spell quickly spreads out the central provinces on the large scale. 

Because of its influence, the Gulf of Tonkin saw powerful wind of level 6-9 while the central territorial water experienced wind of level 6-7. 

On November 24, 25, the strong operation of west wind convergence is predicted to cause medium- heavy rain and damaging cold in the northern midland and mountainous areas. 

According to Director of Agriculture and Rural Development Department of Lao Cai province To Manh Tien, the department and localities carry out necessary measures to deal with the coming damaging cold as well as overcome damages in case of frost appearance.
