Cold spell hits north

The National Center for Hydro-meteorological Forecasting said this morning, a cold air spread out the northern region causing the temperature to drop strongly to as low as 5 to 11 degrees Celsius.

Due to cold spell, the north and north central region will have medium to heavy rains.

Rain will last till April 16.

The provinces from Lai Chau, Son La, Dien Bien, Hoa Binh, Lao Cai, Yen Bai, Phu Tho and Ha Giang need to prevent landslides.

On April 17, it will be warm in the north while the weather in central provinces from Danang to Binh Thuan is hot today with temperature at 34 degrees Celsius.

The central highlands and southern region has still experienced dry hot weather with temperature at some 33 to 36 degrees Celsius.
