Cold spell spreads out south- central region

According to the National Hydrology Meteorology Forecast Center, a cold air mass is warned to cause the damaging cold in the north mountainous and north- central region on the large scale from December 16- 20.

By tonight, the cold front is going to strongly operate and impact to the south part of the central region. 

Because of its influence, the northeast monsoon is expected to blow level 3-5. 

The lowest temperature in the Red Delta region will drop down 9-12 degrees Celsius, even at 5-9 degrees Celsius in the mountainous areas at the mid-night or the early morning.

Meanwhile, the mid- central provinces see medium- heavy rains.

The east- northern and Hanoi capital is forecast to experience fog without rain, the northeast wind of level 3-5, air humidity of 45- 92 percent. 

The provinces from Thanh Hoa to Thua Thien- Hue, from Da Nang to Binh Thuan, the central highlands and the southern region suffer rainy weather and high air humidity.
