Cold spell to influence north and northern mountainous regions

According to the National Hydrology Meteorology Forecast Center of Vietnam, a spell of cold mass air is moving towards the southern region.

The weather condition is expected to affect the northern, north- central and mid- central provinces and cities in next couple of days.

Because of its influence, the northern provinces and cities will be suffered medium- heavy rains and thunderstorms tonight, and the north- central provinces from Thanh Hoa to Thua Thien- Hue province are forecast to face the unfavorable weather of downpours, thunderstorm, cyclone, lightning, hail and gusty wind from November 22.  

The locations will get caught in the northeast monsoon of level 2-3 in mainland and gusty wind of level 3-4 in the coastal areas from the midnight of November 21.

The lowest temperature in the north is predicted to swing 16-19 degrees Celsius, even drop down 13- 15 degrees Celsius in the mountainous areas.

Deep cloud, shower, thunderstorm, cyclone, lightning, cold air and strong wind of level 2-3 are confirmed as weather condition in capital of Hanoi.

Provinces from Thanh Hoa to Thua Thien- Hue, from Da Nang to Binh Thuan have seen sunshine at daytime and thunderstorm downpour in evenings, humidity of 60- 98 percent, the minimum wind of 21- 26 degrees Celsius.

Meanwhile, the lowest and highest temperature in the central highlands and southern regions could be at 18- 26 degrees Celsius, 28- 34 degrees Celsius.
