Detailed map of flash flood inundation should be found soon – Deputy PM

Deputy Prime Minister (PM) Trinh Dinh Dung yesterday led a work team  of the National Steering Committee for Natural Disaster Prevention to check the clean-up after typhoon Dianmu in Yen Bai province.

The deputy PM checked streamside area of Ngoi Thia in Nghia Lo commune which was located in the landslide area. He also visited some families in Tram Tau district being impacted by previous downpour rains and flash flood.

Mr. Trinh Dinh Dung asked local authority need to remove constructions and households out of damaged areas.

Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment should continue collaborating with Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development and ministries of Planning and Investment, Construction, Finance and the Provincial People’s Committees to quickly find a detailed map of flash flood inundation in the northern mountain region, stressed the deputy PM.

Vietnam Red Cross Society yesterday presented VND 200 million to inhabitants in storm hit provinces.
