Central region suffers huge flooding due to downpour

The weather was worse by strong operation of cold air mass and the southwest monsoon.

The rainfall is expected to reduce from December 6.

Due to the high rainfalls, flood level was measured at level 2-3 in the local river systems of Quang Ngai, Binh Dinh, Phu Yen  and Gia Lai this early morning.

Flashflood and landslide are warned to hit the lowlands from Quang Ngai to Phu Yen and Gia Lai province.

Currently, many reservoirs in the central and central highland regions are full of water, so the risk of unsafe reservoirs was warned in the areas.

Meanwhile, the ongoing cold air has powerfully operated and caused the northeast wind of level 5-7, big wave of 2-3 meters and sea rough in the Gulf of Tonkin and the north part of the East Sea, including the Paracel Islands.
