Heavy flood hits northern region

An extreme heat wave with its temperature of 35- 37 degrees Celsius occurred in the area of north and north central provinces on the large scale yesterday, announced the National Hydrology Meteorology Forecast Center.

Today, the hot weather continued to threaten the north and north central regions, and then it will expand in the central region with the highest daily temperature at 35- 37 degrees Celsius. The weather condition is predicted to last until July 16.

According to forecast weather, because of the effect of the confining pressure, the northern mountain region will see heavy rains on the large scale tonight. It has warned of possible landslide in the northern mountain provinces.

Upstream and downstream water level on local rivers will be raising high on July 16- 19 that has also warned of flooding in the Hong (Red) - Thai Binh (Pacific) River system.

Meanwhile, the weather in Ho Chi Minh City and southern region will see deep clouds, thunderstorms in the early evening. The daily temperature will be 24- 33 degrees Celsius.
