Heavy rain hits HCMC

Because of the influence of cold front and east wind, the provinces from Ha Tinh to Ninh Thuan faced medium to heavy rains and thunderstorm on the large scale, reported the National Hydrology Meteorology Forecast Center yesterday.

At present, the cold weather has moved into the southern region while east wind still has blown strongly.

The center warned that the central provinces will have to experience medium to heavy rains and thunderstorms in next days. Thus, the centre issued the warming of flash floods and landslides in these areas.

Several- hour heavy rain yesterday caused serious flooding and traffic jam in the areas of Ho Chi Minh City such as district 2, 6, 8, 9, 10, 12, and Binh Thanh, Thu Duc, Tan Phu district.
