Heavy rains shoulder over central and southern regions

According to the National Hydrology Meteorology Forecast Center, a tropical convergence yesterday caused medium- heavy rains on the large scale in the south- central provinces from Da Nang to Binh Thuan, the central and central highlands provinces with its rainfall of 53- 120 mm.

From October 2- 5, the rainy weather is predicted to spread out the north- central provinces from Thanh Hoa to Thua Thien- Hue and the Northern delta area with total rainfall of 50- 150 mm. The highest rainfall in Nghe An, Ha Tinh and Quang Binh will be measured at 150- 200 mm. 

From October 2-4, the south- central, central highlands and southern region have suffered medium- heavy rains with total rainfall of 70-200mm. 

Landslide and flashflood were warned to happen in the mountainous provinces of Thanh Hoa, Nghe An and Ha Tinh. 

In addition, the flooding is expected to occur in the lowlands, riversides and urban stations in An Giang, Dong Thap, Long An.

Some places in Ho Chi Minh City and Can Tho city are forecast to experience flooding due to high tide flood.
