From August 10-14, the Northern region is expected to experience days of scorching temperature up to 37 degrees Celsius, thunderstorm and medium- heavy downpours at nighttime.

The same weather condition is forecast in the Central provinces and cities from August 10- 16.

Storage volumes of reservoirs such as Song Tranh 2 and Song Bung 4 (in Quang Nam province), Vinh Son B and Vinh Son 5 (in Binh Dinh province) have been receding and dropping to dead water level.

The Central provinces of Ha Tinh, Khanh Hoa, Phu Yen, Quang Tri, Quang Nam and Da Nang city are sweltering extreme dry and hot weather triggering drought, water shortage and saltwater influx.

Meanwhile, severe weather of cyclone, lightning, hail, flash flood, landslide, violent winds and flooding are still able to happen in the Southern and Central Highlands regions although the rainfall has tendency to reduce gradually.

Currently, flood water on Dong Nai River is rising rapidly. Therefore, the high risk of landslide could continue in the Central Highlands provinces of Dak Lak, Dak Nong and Lam Dong, even the neighboring province of Dong Nai.
