Widespread rainstorm will occur across the country in the National Day holiday September 2, reported the National Hydro Meteorological Forecasting Center.
Shower and scattered thunderstorms will begin in the southern Red River Delta from the National Day and linger until September 5.
Showers will prevail in the central region from September 1 and abate from September 9. Temperatures will reduce making it cool.
Meantime rainstorms will continue over wide area in the southern region from August 30 to September 3 before tapering off.
The national weather bureau also said that a forming inter-tropical convergence zone together with a low pressure zone area in the East Sea will cause the waters off Binh Thuan-Ca Mau Provinces choppy with showers and thunderstorms.
Southern provinces will be cloudy under influence of the low pressure area in the next couple of days.
According to the Central Steering Committee for Flood and Storm Prevention and Control, heavy rain triggered flooding on August 30 has triggered flooding in the northern provinces of Bac Giang, Tuyen Quang and Phu Tho.
Floodwaters swept away a ten year old girl, caused 36 houses roofless, inundated 331 hectares of rice and burst several irrigation works and 25 fishing ponds.
