New typhoon to bring fresh downpour in central region

A new typhoon has been brewing off the south central region of Vietnam this early morning, forecast to cause medium to heavy rainfall from early Sunday, according to the National Hydro Meteorological Forecasting Center.

The typhoon, developing from a tropical low pressure system, located 620 kilometers east southeast off provinces from Khanh Hoa to Binh Thuan at 7a.m.
The strongest winds near the eye of the typhoon reached level 8 about 60-75 kilometers an hour with gales of level 11.
The typhoon will move west at 25 kilometers an hour and continue gaining strengths in the next 24 hours.
By 7a.m. on November 19, the storm will be centered in the waters off provinces from Khanh Hoa to Ninh Thuan. Wind power will reach level 8-9 moving 60-90 kilometers an hour.
In the next 24-48 hours, the storm will move west at 25 kilometers an hour to approach the central mainland and weaken into a tropical depression. By 7a.m. on November 20, it will be in southern Cambodia. Wind power will reduce to level 6 moving 40-50 kilometers an hour.
Being affected by the typhoon, the waters off provinces from Binh Dinh to Ba Ria-Vung Tau will be rough and choppy with 2-4m high waves from tomorrow.
Provinces from Quang Nam to Binh Thuan, the Central Highlands and the southeastern region will see medium to heavy rains.
From tomorrow night, the typhoon will combine with a cold front to unleash downpour in the north central region.
