The National Hydro Meteorological Forecasting Center yesterday forecast that the weather would be cloudy and cool in northern and north central regions; and sunny in southern, south central regions and Central Highlands during Tet holidays.
Northern provinces will be cloudy with high moisture. It will be foggy and cold with light drizzles in some places at night and early morning from February 17-20.
In the following week, it will become sunny in daytime, the humidity will reduce and temperatures will gradually increase. Lowest temperatures will swing from 17-20 degrees Celsius and below 15 degrees in mountainous provinces. Highest temperatures will hover around 24-27 degrees and 27-30 degrees in the northwest region.
North central provinces from Thanh Hoa to Thua Thien-Hue will be cloudy and foggy with light rain from February 17-20. The area from Da Nang to Binh Thuan will be sunny.
The southern region and Central Highlands will be sunny in the next 10 days without rain. Lowest temperatures will be 14-17 degrees Celsius and the highest will be 27-30 degrees in the Central Highlands. It will be 20-23 degrees and 30-33 degrees in the southern region.
